Arugula Rajaram Guthpa Lift Irrigation Scheme is intended to provide Irrigation facilities to the gap ayacut of Nizamsagar Project in Nandipet, Makloor, Armoor, Jakranpally, Velpoor, & Balkonda Mandals in Nizamabad Dist., to the extent of 38,792 Acres lying under the distributaries D74 to D82 of Nizamsagar project.

           The Government has accorded administrative approval for the Scheme for Rs.145-00 Crores Vide G.O.Ms.No.207 Dt: 23.12.2002 and Revised estimate cost Administrative approval for Rs. 204 Crores have been sanctioned by Government Vide G.O.Ms., No: 313, Dt: 22-5-20.

           The Scheme proposed to Lift 540 Cusecs of water from Godavari River near Ummeda Village and drop in to the Nizamsagar Project Main Canal @ Km 136.00 (Mile 85/5) and D/74 to irrigate the above ayacut, the processes of supply of water to the crop is in two stages.

Expenditure on works:- The Cumulative expenditure on the entire Scheme is Rs. 155.042 Crores up to 20.10.2007 and the Expenditure incurred to EPC works i.e., Arugula Rajaram Guthpa Lift Irrigation Scheme is Rs. 122.10 Crores up to 20-10-2007.

The Arugula Rajaram Guthpa Lift Irrigation Scheme work was entrusted to M/s. KCCPL - IHP - BRC - TAIPPL - KBL, (JV), Hyderabad for a contract value of Rs. 145.804 Crores agreement was concluded 18.02.2005. The work is in progress

PRESENT STAGE: Supply and laying M. S Pipes is completed except connections..

STAGE - I : PUMP HOUSE - I : 90% civil works completed, Work is in progress. Pumps and Motors received and erection has started from 25-09-2007.

STAGE - II: PUMP HOUSE - II: Civil works and erection of pumps and Motors are completed.

POWER SUPPLY: For construction of Substations and extension of power supply lines an amount of Rs. 22.11 Crores are already been deposited with A.P Transco. The work of construction of 2 Nos 132/11 K.V Sub - Station are completed.

The work will be physically completed and the Scheme will be Commissioned in the month of November - 2007. Trial Run by 25-11-2007

Land Acquisition Detail Report:- The total land Requirement of Arugula Rajaram Guthpa Lift Irrigation Scheme is proposed for 239 Acres and total 239 Acres acquired an amount of Rs. 1,45,18,364=00 has been disbursed by Revenue Development Officer, Nizamabad to the land owners.

Forest Clearance:- As there is no forest land involved a certificate from forest department is obtained to this effect and hence no forest clearance is necessary.
