Nizamabad reflects Telangana culture and dialect spoken here is Telugu. With a population density ratio of 294 persons per square kilometers of which 18.11% are urban and literacy rate being about 56.26%, the district of Nizamabad is divided into three Revenue Divisions. Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Bodhan are further divided into 36 mandals. The holy River Godavari enters first in to Telangana from Nizamabad district at Kandhakurthi. About 81% of the population at Nizamabad is engaged in Agriculture and allied activities making agriculture the backbone of the districts’ economy. The town is also endowed with good agricultural infrastructure. Lush green fields and good irrigation facilities contribute to the growth of agricultural crops. Some of the crops predominantly grown here are Paddy, Sugarcane, Maize. Jowar, Cotton, Groundnut, Sunflower and Pulses.
